Valentine's Day Party Plans

Dear Parents,

Valentine's Day is Thursday the 14th and we will be celebrating the day with our buddies in Mrs. Smyka's class.  Our plan is to pair the kids up and then complete five stations in each classroom.  In other words, your child will work with a first grader to complete five stations in our room and then five stations in Mrs. Smyka's room.  These stations are meant to be fun, involve a little eating and not be too demanding on the supply requests.  Mrs. Smyka and I are asking each class to provide the supplies for our classroom stations and enough snack for our own class.  Here is a list of the stations and the supplies needed for each.  Please send me an email with any supplies that you would like to donate and I will update the page as often as possible so we all know what is still needed.  Thank you in advance for your generosity and we look forward to a fun afternoon.

Station #1 - Minute to win it Valentine's Mat

This is a mat with several activities that the kids need to try and complete within the one minute time limit.  The supplies needed are as follows...

The kids will work to complete a cut memory game using Hershey kisses and stickers hidden on the bottom.  Then they will switch so that everyone gets a chance to play "Jar Drop", which is a minute to win it activity where they compete against each other to see how many candy hearts they can drop into a jar while standing on a chair.
1. Two bags of Hershey kisses.  Annie's Family
2. One bag of candy hearts (or another small type of candy). - Gabby's Family
